The Carlisle &
Finch Company has developed a sleek and aesthetic "Proportional-Speed" Joystick Control Station.
The beam-speed and beam-direction controls are built into the
joystick.
The operator moves the joystick to the first position, and the
beam moves slowly...he/she moves it further, and the beam speeds
up! Since a separate speed dial or fast/slow switch has
now been eliminated (which requires two hands of operation), the
operator can now use his/her free hand to steer the vessel, hold
binoculars or hold a firearm.
Additional control station functions are: Beam-ON,
Beam-OFF, Electric Beam-Size Focus,
"Proportional-Speed" Joystick (described
above), and a Beam-On Indicator Light offered on control
stations mounted inside, out of the weather. |
